Columbia University: Renewable Energy Panel

Our Founder and CEO, Fatou Jabbie, was a speaker on a Renewable Energy panel with fellow speakers Nathanael Greene (NRDC), Amir Chireh Mehr (GE Energy Financial Services) and Barrett Silver (Silver Lining Solar), moderated by Amy Keeler (Dartmouth Engineering). As part of the All Ivy Environmental & Sustainable Development Career Fair, the panel explored these professionals’ career paths, work, and innovations in renewable energy.

USL/USEE sponsors ITAG ICT EXPO 2020

USL Technology (USL) and USL Sustainability Efficiency Engineering (USEE) were a proud sponsor of the Information Technology Association of the Gambia’s (ITAG) ICT Expo in The Gambia. We were excited to collaborate with our partners on the ground to raise awareness on efforts geared towards the achievement of United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly with Jokkolabs Banjul, World Advanced Solutions Co. Ltd, etc. Fostering Climate Action (SDG-13), Partnership for the Goals (SDG-17), Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure (SDG-9), Responsible Consumption and Production (SDG-12), Quality Education (SDG-4), Gender Equality (SDG-5), Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG-8), and Reduced Inequalities (SDG-10) are what drive and lead to Peace and Justice and Strong Institutions (SDG-16).

HARONA with Guest Speaker Ndey Fatou Jabbie

Our Founder and CEO was invited as a guest speaker on a well-known broadcasting channel in the Gambia in January 2020 (HARONA, Paradise TV). An inspiration to others like her, Fatou talked about her experience and journey navigating the technology, energy and sustainability spheres in The Gambia and the United States as a woman minority entrepreneur.

Our Founder and CEO was honoured to have been invited by the Building Energy Exchange (BE-Ex), an organization that connects New York City’s real estate and design communities to energy and lighting efficiency solutions through technology and research, for one their prominent Women in Sustainability and Energy (WISE) events. Fatou shared her expertise on unpacking what will be needed to implement NYC’s Climate Mobilization Act, illustrating ways to reduce the effects of climate change and improve the built environment through local law compliance.
